On December 2, 2022, the parties to the contract implementing the last western section of the second metro line to Karolin agreed on the terms of the agreement enabling the commencement of construction works. As a result of this agreement, the parties agreed to increase the contractual remuneration by over PLN 600 million net.
For our client, Gülermak Heavy Industries Construction & Contracting Co. Inc., Contractors, the CAS team composed of Maciej Kajrukszto and Piotr Anisiewicz, prepared an independent Expert Opinion pointing to a change in the market situation resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic and the outbreak of war in Ukraine. This opinion contained the methodology and calculation of the increase in the cost of contract performance and the analysis of the foreseeable risk of cost increase as at the date of submission of the offer by the Contractor.
