We are pleased to announce that CAS Team has prepared an independent Expert Opinion at the request of the Budimex, Tecnicas Reunidas and Mitsubishi Power Europe consortium, regarding the pursuit of the Contractor’s claims arising in connection with the implementation of the contract for the design and construction of a 496 MW power unit at Turów Power Plant. The calculations prepared by CAS were the basis for determining the amount of the Contractor’s request, which was used in the lawsuit, and in the further course of the proceedings, were analyzed and negotiated by the Parties with the active support of CAS. As a result of these negotiations, on February 25, 2021 the parties have reached a settlement. Under the agreement, the value of the remuneration due to the Contractor was increased by approximately PLN 108 million net. At the same time, the commissioning date for the unit was extended by 6 months. We are glad that our expert knowledge and many years of experience used during the implementation of works contributed to the conclusion of the Settlement, and that we are able to implement such large and interesting projects.
